Paused Bench Press
Step-by-step technique for Paused Bench Press, an exercise for chest using barbell. From the Frog Fitness exercise library.
How to do it
- Lie on the bench and grip the bar at or wider than shoulder-width.
- Unrack and lower the bar to your chest.
- Pause completely still for 1–2 seconds on the chest.
- Press up explosively to straight arms.
Coach tip: Keep the pause dead still. Don’t lose tension.
